Alger County is the Snowmobile Capital of the Midwest! Thanks to generous lake effect snow, the Au Train area routinely receives over 200 inches of snow every winter! Dana's is located a couple of miles north of Trail 8, a major east-west trail. The trail is even closer if you access it by riding across Au Train Lake. This year, four cabins are available for rent, including one three bedroom cabin. Based on call volumes, we may open additional cabins next year for winter rental. Dana's has an expansive parking lot to accommodate trucks and large snowmobile trailers.
