Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore
| Pictured Rocks is perhaps the most remarkable natural area
in the Great Lakes region. Cliffs, beaches, sand dunes, waterfalls and the northern
hardwood forest of Lake Superior's shoreline are featured at Pictured Rocks National
Lakeshore. |
The rocks for which the Park is named rise directly from the lake to heights of 50 to 200
feet and have been sculpted into caves, arches and formations that look like castles and
fortresses. |
