Long Distance Visitor

This pigeon appeared at the resort a couple of weeks ago.  We were able to capture it and obtain the band number of AU 2007 NCW 624.  Using the Internet, we determined:

Club Code : NCW
City : TOMAHAWK
State : WI
Phone No. : 715-453-5626

2007 = Year of Registration
NCW = North Central Wisconsin

The club contacted the pigeon's owner who in turn contacted us yesterday and explained the pigeon participated in a 150 mile race and overshot Watersmeet, MI  by about 140 miles!  We are working with the owner to get it back home.  In the meantime, she comes every morning and evening for handouts of feed.
