Abandoned bridge over the Au Train River in Au Train, MI

A kind person named Keith e-mailed us back in 2002 and shared a link from the Michigan Department of Transportation that provides a history of the old bridge.  According to MDOT, "the bridge is historically significant as one of only two remaining examples of this important early Michigan State Highway Department design standard."
