A Crowded Au Train Beach on the Fourth of July Weekend

The Au Train River meets Lake Superior right here.  People like to swim in the river because the water is significantly warmer than the cold water of Lake Superior.  The State of Michigan has implemented a restoration project to enhance and protect this critical dune area.  Though access is limited, the beaches on the river and Lake Superior are open and ready for visitors!
