I'm a fan of any sport in which the people involved are at least as interesting as the competition.

Anyway, between Funny Cide's similar underdog run last year,
"Seabiscuit" and now Smarty Jones, horse racing is hot.  The Belmont
Stakes figures to break attendance records.  I like that.  I'm a fan of any sport in which the people involved are at least as interesting as
the competition.  I say that at the risk of being mistaken for a bass
fishing fan.
