I was first introduced to Kukla, Fran and Ollie through the CBS Children's Film Festival which originally aired in the early 1960s.

For there were days when Howdy's commitment to his art, his devotion to his own ideas of puppet beauty and life, were pleasant to the point of ecstatic, were what any of us bother to breathe for.
