The H. Lee White unloading coal in Munising Harbor, Munising, MI

Above, the H. Lee White stopped in Munising today to unload some coal at the Kimberly-Clark Mill.

The photo below shows the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Research Vessel KIYI and crew pulling into the dock at Bayshore Marina in Munising, MI.  Coregonus kiyi is one of several species of ciscoes - relatives of the lake whitefish.  The Research Vessel KIYI is one of the Great Lakes Science Center's newest and largest vessels.  It operates on the world's largest lake, Lake Superior.  Fish stock assessment and fisheries and habitat research are conducted aboard the R/V KIYI.  The KIYI was commissioned and christened on April 29, 2000.
