unknown unknowns

In the photo above, a couple of deer pause to look at me during my daily walk.  Recent snow has covered any bare patches of ground, creating difficult conditions for local wildlife.  We are under a winter warning today with a possibility of three to ten inches of snow over the next couple of days.  Spring comes slowly in the Upper Peninsula!
