a Christmas morning in grade school

Today, the twins coaxed me into a boat ride.  Somehow, we ended up going down the stretch of the Au Train River between Au Train Lake and the bridge at Cameron Crossing.  We saw a blue heron, several kingfishers, dozens of ducks, fish, and an unidentified bird of prey.  It was another scorching day in the 90's.
