Ducks, waiting for the thunderstorm, behind the reeds.

I used to want to get rid of the reeds growing in front of the Crow's Nest cottage, but I'm glad we have taken no action.  The reeds provide a safe place for the wild ducks, geese, and Blue Herons.  With so many jet skis and ski boats on the lake this month, the reeds provide a safe haven for much of the wildlife inhabiting Au Train Lake.  Beginning in 2003, personal watercraft (jet skis) will not be allowed at Dana's Lakeside Resort.
