During my daily
two mile walk, I snapped this photograph of Joel Creek pouring
into Au Train Lake. Today was the first day of major
spring thaw action at Joel Creek.
|
| Even in the
middle of the winter, there is almost always a small unfrozen area near the
Crow's Nest Cottage. In this photo, you can see where the open water
area is widening. |

The AuTrain River enters AuTrain Lake at
the south end of the lake and exits at the northeast corner of
the lake. This photo shows the ice retreating.
|
| There are
still some large chunks of ice on the shore of AuTrain Bay, Lake Superior.
This photo was taken at the AuTrain Scenic View, where the AuTrain River
empties into Lake Superior. |
