NaNoWriMo Day 6
forever picking at the scabs
---------------------
We enjoyed temperatures in the
50's today and I spent a few more hours raking leaves.
Digging deep, I reached into my
past and pulled out some Terre Haute, Indiana memories. I cranked out
another 1,755 words today for NaNoWriMo
to bring my accumulated total to
11,252. I'm well over a
fifth of the way through my first novel!
I updated my word count on the official NaNoWriMo web site:

Artists are never allowed to let things alone.
They're forever picking at the scabs. Writers, by their
nature, spend their time thinking about, wondering about, delving
into, trying to understand the very things that the rest of the
world doesn't like to think about.
Harry Crews,
U.S. author.
