NaNoWriMo Day 5
Shawondasse
---------------------
In addition to the word total I
dropped yesterday from not writing, another 1,667 words were required for today.
After my two mile walk, feeding the livestock and kids, and digging yet another
twenty foot trench for electric wire conduit, I was able to focus again on NaNoWriMo.
I cranked out over 4,000 new
words today to bump my total to 9,497. I'm back on track and almost a
fifth of the way home! I already have
some ideas to jumpstart me on tomorrow's output.
I updated my word count on the official NaNoWriMo web site:

--------------------
Shawondasse, the South Wind, lazed among
the trees and in the plain, and there he
saw a beautiful golden-haired maiden. No
sooner did he see her than he loved her. But he was a lazy fellow,
too lazy to go to speak to her.
“My brother,
North Wind, touched her golden hair with his ice-cold
hands and turned it white," he said.
He felt sad and
heaved a slow, deep sigh. So strong was the sigh,
it reached the white hair—which, wonder of wonders, flew away
with the wind, scattering in all directions.
And this
happens every year—for South Wind does not remember
and is always lazy.
Algonquin Tribe (New York),
