warp the goodness

Though it is still cloudy today, it is a welcome respite from the three days of rain this week.  The National Weather Service says that we should expect more rain tomorrow and temperatures will not climb above 48 degrees!

My father has been on a quest to find Diamond Willow trees.  We ran into a gentleman at the U.P. State Fair last month who told us he had purchased his Diamond Willow walking stick at a gift shop near Manistique.  After a couple of dead ends, we finally spoke to a ranger at Palms Book State Park who gave us the lead we were looking for!  Finally, on the 3rd of September, we tracked down a U.P. craftsman who makes Diamond Willow walking sticks and canes!  Click on the following slide show for more information.
