stranger things have
happened
---------------------

Every year, the Forest
Service warns us about fireworks, and every year some tourists,
summer home owners and local residents ignore it. The
fireworks ban isn't just a good idea, it's the law!
--------------------
"Does it
seem to you that we aren't taking our situation all that
seriously?" I said.
"I'm taking
it seriously," Jewel said. "We're doing what can be
done. How seriously do we have to take it? I mean, is
this pot pie going to make you happy or what?"
"Stranger
things have happened."
- the characters Bob and Jewel, from the novel "Bob the
Gambler"
