we're not quite sure why that is

My daughters accompanied me on today's trek to Lake Superior.  They were great company and we had a good time.  We stopped at the Au Train Grocery to purchase some sodas.  As you can see in this photo of the picnic area at the Lake Superior Scenic View, Au Train Bay is still covered with ice.  Au Train Island is in the upper right corner of the picture.
