something that always disappeared

The family field-tripped to Marquette to see the snow sculptures created as part of the WinterFest activities.

I figured he was smart to keep it in his head where he could work on it in peace, let it show him new angles, where the questions were still viable and the pleasure was getting close to something that always disappeared when you tried to look at it.  He could do that forever.
