September 29, 2000
run some risks
---------------------
Note: This photograph was actually taken on September
26th at sunset.
It has been a remarkably
successful season! We still have a few weeks to go. The
old resort has held up very well and didn't surprise us with any
major meltdowns. (knock on wood!)
Many thanks to all of our
loyal returning guests and thanks to all of the new guests who
discovered Dana's Lakeside Resort this year.
We already have 9 weeks
completely booked for the summer of 2001 and only a handful of
cabins available in the remaining weeks.
Thanks again! We
couldn't do it without YOU!
There are only two weeks
left until we temporarily shut down. We'll be spending lots of
quality time outdoors raking leaves and preparing for winter.
We will open again in November for the first week of firearm deer
hunting season and then we'll close the resort until Walleye opener
next May.
We'll be spending the
winter reading, homeschooling, moving snow and making plans for
2001, with continued emphasis on improvements to the cabins, resort
infrastructure and more amenities for quests.
