On
a boat ride around the lake, we noticed the onset of autumn
color. We should be near peak color in another week or
two.

Duck hunting season opens
September 30th. There are quite a few duck blinds on the lake again
this year. It is possible to drive right into this blind. You
can't see it, but there is a bench seat to the left.

It
looks like this duck blind was a pontoon boat in a previous
life. This blind has a covered protected area to the
left and there is an open deck to the right. The twins
very much wanted to explore this interesting watercraft, but
we didn't trespass.

We cruised by the Crow's Nest
cottage to check out the new roof and finalize plans for a new
garage. We'll be spending a warm, quiet and peaceful winter at the
Crow's Nest cottage this year.

It is what you live in. You can drift or you can swim, and it will carry you along
