Is That All There Is?

We packed up the van and
moseyed over to Deerton this morning to enjoy a great pancake
breakfast to benefit Onota Township. Fantastic pancakes,
sausage, scrambled eggs, orange juice and coffee!
This afternoon I was
saddened, but not surprised, to hear about the firing of Bob Knight
as Head Basketball Coach for Indiana University.
Bob Knight was a great
coach at Indiana. To his credit, his players graduated and
during his tenure there was not a single NCAA investigation into the
I.U. basketball program.
All of us familiar with
I.U. basketball over the past 29 years will remember many painful
and embarrassing episodes where Coach Knight's personal behavior
occasionally crossed the boundaries of good taste.
You can admire his record
and his contributions to the game of college basketball. You
can admire the unquestioned ethics of his basketball program.
Still, it's sad to witness Coach Knight's fall from grace.
