We were on H77 on our way to Curtis, MI when we spotted this swan family.  We parked at the South Show Pool of the Seney National Wildlife Refuge.  We waited for a few minutes, but the swan parents would not allow the cygnets closer than 40 yards or so.

On our way back from Curtis, MI we stopped again to watch the swans.  Slowly, the swans began to swim closer and closer.  I had to traipse through some brush and risk the hissing of the closest adult swan to get these pictures.  Adult swans are quite powerful and I did not want to risk a confrontation.  They allowed me to snap a few photos.  None of them are noteworthy, but I am grateful for the opportunity!
