At the end of this very busy and productive day, we drove to Munising for fast food.  I had to pull into the Lake Superior Scenic View at Au Train to snap this photo.  The sky was so dramatic and the big lake was so calm.

It was an amazingly productive day!

TDS Telecom came out first thing this morning and trenched our phone wires to the yurt.  We now have four phone lines going to the yurt.

bullet

We took a trailer full of junk to the landfill.

We then split up as Amy and her father went to Marquette to retrieve our missing section of Hewitt dock.

While on their dock mission, I did a few things:
bullet

pruned a couple of tree branches behind the recreation center.

bullet

moved a ramshackle pile of wood and stacked it neatly near the work shed.

bullet

finished the lawn mowing and trimming left from the previous day.

bullet

moved the volleyball posts into position and assembled the tetherball pole.

bullet

dug a trench to hold the wire the electricians will be installing tomorrow for the yurt!  When Amy came back, she helped me get the trench to a uniform depth.

bullet

moved our canoes down to the beach.

Tomorrow promises to be another busy day.  I can't wait to get the yurt wired so we can move the office!  We should be able to start moving desks, computers, books and manuals tomorrow afternoon.  I'll take some pictures of the new office after we move in.

The lilac bush is full of flowers, but they haven't opened yet.  I can't wait to enjoy their fragrance.  We also have a clump of white lilac, but they are always a little behind.

I put the hummingbird feeder out last weekend and the hummingbirds have been frequent visitors ever since.  We have a steady stream of wild visitors.  We have a thriving population of , stub-tailed chipmunks, red squirrels and goldfinches.

Phase one of the new dock is working beautifully!  The vertical post bumpers we purchased do a fantastic job of keeping the boats from hitting the dock.  We couldn't be more pleased.

The old resort is starting to come together.  The recent rains have greened things up and the leaves are finally out.  It makes such a dramatic difference to the appearance of the resort!

It's going to be a great summer!
