We Finished the Yurt!
---------------------

Space Age Insulation
We completely surrounded the yurt with amazing lightweight insulation.  Picture Taken 05/17/2000.

Next, we installed the roof cover, guaranteed for 15 years.  Picture taken 05/17/2000.

Clear Dome Installed
After lacing the top cover to the wall cover with nylon rope, my Dad installed the clear dome on top.  We then fastened the bottom of the wall cover to the deck drip edge, essentially completing the project!

What a great space!

There were a few other steps not easily illustrated with photos, but the photos give you the essential steps we followed to complete the project.  There was some stretching and adjusting of the side and top covers.  We also spent a considerable amount of time installing the snow and wind kit.  The kit is comprised of 26 studs, one under each rafter.  Each stud required two brackets at the top and two at the floor, along with 16 screws to secure them.  It was time-consuming, but we are very confident that the yurt will be able to withstand the large snowfall we experience up here!
