There is no battle.

This
is my Dad stopping long enough for me to take his
picture. The deck frame has been completed and the
floor has been insulated. The plywood sheeting has
been fastened. Today he is putting on the fir
flooring.
|
He's going to put a clear
finish on the floor and will then trim the edges to a perfect circle in
preparation for erecting the yurt. The yurt shipped on Friday and
should be at Dana's about the middle of next week!

This
is how the yurt deck looks this afternoon after Dad trimmed
the edges to a circle. Mom, Dad and Meaghan had just
applied a coat of polyurethane before I snapped this photo.

This
is a black and white photo of Cabin 7 and my parent's
RV. We were fortunate to receive a little rain on
Wednesday. It has been unseasonably warm the last
couple of days. My brother is coming to Dana's this
weekend and he will assist me in assembling the new dock and
getting it in the water.

The carbon monoxide
detectors have been installed. We have no reason to think we
need them, but they should provide all of us a little peace of
mind. The fire alarms we installed last year now have new
batteries and they're ready to go. Amy also purchased and
installed a Water Pik handheld shower massage for each cabin!
All of the cabins are ready to go except for Cabin 4, the
telecommuting office. With a little luck, we'll be moving the
office to the yurt late next week!
