It
was a busy week! The parking lot improvements are now
complete and the new dumpster is in. |
I love watching the world through the eyes of our twin sons. What I learned this week is that one of the greatest machines ever invented is the gumball machine. Despite all of our technological advances, these machines are still simple and direct. You put in your quarter (the price HAS gone up!), twist the dial, open the little door and pull out the gumball. When you're five years old, it doesn't get much better than that!

Here's the current status of some of the projects:

The new larger
dumpster is now in place. |

The Lake Superior sand for the beach
was delivered. |
|
The electrician came
out and we discussed the new security light we are placing in
the parking lot behind the rec center. We are also installing
additional electrical outlets around the perimeter of the rec
center. Herb, the electrician, will be out to wire the
yurt when it is completed. |

Next week we're
moving the propane tank from it's current location to the new spot
behind the rec center. |
|
The new dock will be
delivered next week. We probably won't get it in the water
until my younger brother from Indiana comes up to assist in
another week. |
|
We have
prepared the area for the 20 x 20 basketball court. |
|
Next week, we're also getting estimates for new floor coverings in some of the cabins. |
Everything is moving along very nicely!
