I'm not from Texas
--------------------

The day started out cloudy and overcast.  I walked up the luge hill to fetch yesterday's mail and the newspaper.  I still had to wear my heavy coat to be comfortable.

Around 5 p.m. it started to rain a little and then around 6 p.m. it turned to sleet.  You can see it in this photo.

By 7 p.m. it had turned into a pretty good snow.  It's nice to look at, but it seems a little strange with snow on April 15th.

I spent a fair amount of time revamping the Fishing Page.  I also preserved the Dana's Fishing Hall of Fame where I display photos of guests with their catch.

I watched another good TV show today, a documentary on the tortured tragic life of Jack Kerouac.  I don't want you to think that I only focus on authors and poets who have led tragic twisted lives.  Kurt Vonnegut, my favorite living novelist, is a little eccentric, but not tragic.  There was a fire in his home this winter and last I heard he was recovering nicely from smoke inhalation.

My favorite visual artist, Edward Hopper, also didn't fit the stereotypical image of the struggling starving artist full of angst.  However, another favorite, Jackson Pollack, seems to have lived a twisted life that paralleled Jack Kerouac's.
