Kind-of-a-long-walk
--------------------
It is windy and partly cloudy
today. The clouds are trying to take over. I went out last
night to see if the aurora was working, but all I saw was a ring around
the moon. It wasn't the aurora, but it was still interesting.

This
is a map of the Appalachian Trail. It starts at Mt. Katahdin,
Maine and meanders through 14 states to Springer Mountain,
Georgia.
85% of all through hikers
hike the trail from Georgia to Maine. Most of the northbound
hikers have already started or are about to start. I have to
hike southbound because I'm somehow involved with this resort and
should probably hang around to get things ready for the summer.
<grin>
By the time the resort is
ready, it will be too late to depart from Springer Mountain with
enough time to complete the trail before they close Mt. Katahdin in
October.
