Last Snow
This is the last bit of snow
at Dana's. It is near the daylily patch adjacent to the swings and
playground.

It is very windy today
with intermittent rain. There is a fifty percent chance of
snow for tomorrow. Winter is holding on.
I spoke to a DNR
representative about our planned dock extension. I'm
purchasing a new dock this spring and it will extend into the lake
farther than the old dock. According to the DNR
representative, the dock
extension is not going to be a problem.
The twins and I
field-tripped to Munising today to inquire about building codes and
fence setback issues. I will be returning to Munising on
Monday to acquire a building permit for the yurt and accompanying
deck. It will be located where the old mobile home used to
be. The yurt is not going to be a problem.

I also learned more about
fences than I ever wanted to. Until now, most of what I knew about
fences came from a Robert Frost poem, Mending Wall. I
would reproduce it here, but it's probably copyrighted. You
can find it on the web at several places that don't care if it's
copyrighted.
