Three Eagles
When I went down to the
telecommuting office this morning to start the PC, I saw several
large birds on the ice. I retrieved the binoculars and
verified a trio of bald eagles! I watched them for a little
while before running back up to the house to tell Amy. She
came down to the lake and we both watched the eagles for a few
minutes. The digital camera's zoom lens just didn't cut
it. I'm starting to think we need a conventional 35mm
camera with a good telephoto lens! Here's what it might
have looked like:

Thanks to several
bookings today, we have now reached 9 weeks where the resort is
completely booked! When I originally mentioned our goal of 12
weeks full, I honestly didn't think it would happen, but now it
looks very promising that we will reach our goal! Everyone
involved with Dana's will surely enjoy a memorable Summer of
2000!
On
our way to Munising, we passed Scott Falls. The recent thaw
has transformed the falls. We also visited Munising Bay to see
if the ice fishing shacks are still on the ice. We found one
shack about 20 yards out on the ice. It will be a challenge to
get that shack off of the ice.
