Another Blitzkrieg
Against The Silence
My first inclination is to write a
scathing opinion of the large number of odious snowmobiles parked
next door to Dana's Lakeside Resort, but I won't do that. There are many people who will drive long
distances to enjoy the peace and quiet of winter in the Upper
Peninsula only to destroy it with the unbelievable noise and foul
stench emanating from ecological disasters they fondly call
snowmobiles.

Another blitzkrieg
against the silence! I let the girls take a long walk to Au Train to get
away from the 2-cycle engine exhaust hovering in the air over the resort.

There
is a new snowmobile race track in Christmas, MI. There has been a
marked increase in the number of racing
teams towing huge trailers full of snowmobiles into Alger County
every weekend. I have to stop banging my head
against the wall of money that they bring to the Upper Peninsula.

It was a beautiful sunny day
today. We received an inch or two of snow each day this week,
nothing major. Temperatures have been in the teens at night
and 20's during the day.
