Chicago
 |
Friday, we made a very quick raid on
Chicago to do some Christmas shopping. We started by visiting
one of our favorite spots, Maurice Lenell Cookies. Of course,
before purchasing, we had to sample some of them!
|
We visited Marshall Fields in the Loop, downtown
Chicago to see the windows. The Twelve Days of Christmas were
the theme this year. Fortunately, it wasn't too cold and I was
able to snap a couple of pictures.
We also visited Garrett's Popcorn to get some caramel corn and cheese
popcorn.
Saturday, 12/11, was a
beautiful clear day in Chicago. After visiting the Fannie May outlet
store in downtown Chicago, I snapped this shot of the Sears Tower.

We
also stopped at the Gurney Mills outlet mall on the way home. We
purchased a couple of Laser Luge sleds and other assorted gear.
Outdoor World is like the Cabela's catalog under a single roof.
|
We returned home last night to some new snow. We had to try the
Laser Luge sleds today. Conditions were not perfect, but the sleds
performed just fine! I can't wait to get a hard snow pack and some
colder temperatures. They'll be hauling us out of the ravine for
sure!
