Deer Hunters
The deer hunters have met with some
success. I will spare everyone the pictures. We have
been enjoying decent November weather, though it is probably a
little on the warm side for deer hunting.
The parking crisis has morphed into an
uneasy truce. All things
considered, the hunters have been very well behaved and have posed
no problems.
Yesterday, we assembled the new bunk
bed for my twin sons. They are very excited about this.
We are very crowded in the home/office and the bunk bed is a much
needed improvement in sleeping arrangements!
Today, we moved the telecommuting
computer to Cabin 4. I connected all of the cables, plugged
everything in and tested the phone lines. It works
great! The insulation we installed a couple of days ago is
doing a good job of retaining the heat. It should be a nice
space to work in, especially with the improved view of the lake.
I also received my 3COM HomeConnect PC
Digital Camera today! I installed it and tested it with my
WebCam software. It really works nice. The picture
quality is not as good as the picture I can obtain with the Kodak
digital camera, but it does a pretty good job for the money. I
hope to point the "DanaCam" at the lake in the near
future. At this time, the view from Cabin 4 contains two dead
deer hanging from the pole by the fire pit. We'll get a view
of the lake after the hunters leave on Saturday. In the
interim, I'll focus it elsewhere.
There was a spectacular sunset this
evening. Since Dana's is on the west shore of Lake Au Train,
we don't see sunsets too often. We just happened to be
on the road tonight and happened to catch the sunset. I'm not
sure it's as good as a Dana's sunrise, but it's pretty close.
We have a few more things to move out of the mobile home and then
it will be ready to demolish. We also received a quote from
the natural gas people, and it looks like we'll be bringing natural
gas down to the resort!
