Excellent Waves

I traveled to Marquette today to meet with my daughter's  orthodontist.  We chatted for a while about teeth, computers and web pages.  I started back to Dana's Lakeside Resort, but not before stopping by McDonald's for some coffee and Babycakes for some muffins!

The wind was incredibly strong today.  A coal ship was waiting out the storm in Marquette's Lower Harbor.

There were huge, excellent waves on Lake Superior!  I tried to take a couple of wave pictures at one of the Scenic Views, but was pelted with sand and forced back into the car.  

We lost power again today!  It went out about 16:30 and UPPCO finally got us back in service by 18:30.  We walked up to Forest Lake Road after getting a report about a tree that had fallen over the power line.  The tree was down just a short distance away.  Across the road from the entrance to Dana's Lakeside Resort, we saw a large tree fall behind our neighbor's camp.
